Meet one of our new friends

Hunting season is just around the corner, so Dan has been busy getting all the green fields ready. However, that doesn't stop him from being nice to the lil "friends" and feeding them some. This is what we see in our back yard pretty much on a daily basis, sometimes there are 5 or 6 out there at a time, but on this particular afternoon, just this little friend.

Miss Avery

This past weekend, I went to stay with one of my best friends, Lisa, originally I had planned to go over to her house on Saturday to watch the Bama game, but on Thursday I was told that some of the girls were getting together to go eat Friday for Lisa's birthday so I packed up my stuff and went for a "slumber party" lol Hey, every girl needs a girl's night out! Anyway, we ate supper at Harvey's in Columbus, which was WONDERFUL!
Saturday finally rolls around so you know what that means.....GAME DAY!!!! So we are up at around 8:30 getting ready for the 11:30 game. Avery gets dressed in her very cute Alabama dress, she is soo cute, anything that resembles Alabama she shouts "Roll Tide". You can never start them too early!!!!
Avery Getting Ready for the Game

So Ms Carolyn had to go to Wal-Mart before the game to make us some football watching snacks. As we were putting up groceries, we didnt hide this item too well, so at 9:30 AM Avery got what Avery wanted

Overall, it was a great get-away even if it was just over night. I enjoyed my girl's night, and getting to spend quality time with Lisa, Avery and Ms Carolyn.

Thanks Girls!!! :) I love you!

LEAVE US ALONE!!!!

So I think all night Friday, that I will get to sleep in a little later on Saturday morning. Granted I would have to be up by 9 AM to get ready to head to Ttown for tailgating and the game, but that is another story. ANYWAY, Dan gets up about 6:40 AM to get dressed to go meet Todd so they can work on green fields. Ok, that is not too bad, I can go back to sleep when he leaves. HOWEVER, at 6:45AM our house phone rings and I am thinking ok???? I said Dan "who is it" and of all days..... A TELEMARKETER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AT 6:45 AM ON A SATURDAY MORNING!!!! Oh I was sooooo mad, I told Dan to hand me the phone. I answer the phone, to hear the guy say "is this Dan Deavouuurs" ( he sooo didnt get the last name right so I had to throw those few extra vowels in there to emphasize what he said) I quickly told him " IT IS 6:45 IN THE MORNING, MY BEST ADVICE FOR YOU IS TO TAKE THIS NUMBER OFF YOUR CALL LIST!!!!" Thinking he would say Im sorry, he gets an attitude with me and ask was this the "Deavouuurs" residence...AGAIN! I said THANK YOU AND HUNG UP!!! Dan just looked at me and laughed! I understand that telemarketers have jobs and families, but there needs to be a starting time when they call ESPECIALLY on a Saturday morning!!!!

I remember growing up, my grandmother made the mistake of calling our house a few times before 8AM and we had to have a little chat with her about it and she stopped, but not...you better not call her before 10AM because she will still probably be in the bed!!!

ok...gotta get ready to go watch the CRIMSON TIDE!!!! ROLLLL TIIIIDDDE!!!!

Beau knows football

Beau knows football!!!!

oh but yes.....in 4 days the most exciting time of the year begins, I say 4 because that is when SEC football starts, South Carolina vs North Carolina State. However, the real boys start Saturday, The University of Alabama and Auburn University. We live for this time of year. Every time I hear the Alabama fight song I get goose bumps. Of course Dan does a little dance when his phone rings the Auburn fight song.

Me (Krisha) being the TRUE Alabama fan that I am, love the crowd on the quad before a football game, the smell of the grills, the spread of tons of food, the "Roll Tide" as you pass a fellow fan on the sidewalk, hearing Denny Chimes counting down the hour to kick off, then hearing the elephant triumph over the crowd, "THIS IS ALABAMA FOOTBALL", and of course no Alabama game is complete without a little "Sweet Home Alabama...ROLL TIDE ROLL" I am getting excited just thinking about it. Seeing Saban on the jumbo tron about to lead the team on to the field, there is a feeling you get that all Bama fans know what I am talking about.

Dan says being the true Auburn fan he is (however he just finally learned all the words to the fight song a month ago...sorry had to throw that in..lol) is just ready to watch the Tigers hit the field. It is hard to explain his love for them, but Trust me...I sometimes wonder if there is more love for the Auburn Tigers than me!!! lol Just kidding! He supports his orange and blue EVERY chance he gets, and doesn't care what anyone else says. Of course I have to get a "6" thrown in my face every now and then, but when he reaches "9" then we can talk!

I have always heard, if you survive your first year of marriage then it will last, I think our goal is going to be surviving our first year married in a house divided!!!

ROLL TIDE and WAR EAGLE!!!!
