Happy April Fool's Day Mr. Turkey

Today, my wonderful husband was like a kid when he come running, well should I say walking with what little bit of energy and breath he had left, around the corner of the house. Bless his heart, I thought I was going to have to do CPR on him right in the front yard, he just fell down and tried talking to me, but you really couldn't understand what he was saying, but with what he had in his hand said enough. Yes, today Dan got his first Turkey of this year's turkey season. He was soooo excited, he just couldn't stop smiling! I got tickled at him, because you see he had tried calling me to come pick him up in the field behind the house because he was about to pass out from walking up and down hills, plus carrying Mr. Turkey and everything else you need to "call" a turkey up with , but I was on the phone talking with my aunt and wouldn't answer the beep. Sorry Honey!

Baby Showers

I had my first Baby Shower on March 21 at my wonderful sister in law's house. Along with many wonderful hostess there to help. They had a baby shower brunch, with delicious food, that not much if any was left! There were soo many people that came and I was soo excited to see them all. Aubrey and Lainey are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family waiting on their arrival! Dan of course got the deer in the headlights look when he saw all the gifts, especially the clothes! We had to re do the girls' closet just to hold the clothes they have gotten. So now they have 2 bars up in the closet instead of one!

These were a cute purchase I made myself, and I did get two pair, Dan was not very happy about the purchase, but that is part of living in a house divided!

On Sunday, March 22, the ladies at church gave us a wonderful Baby Shower Tea. They always go out of their way to make everything wonderful, from the food to the beautiful flower arrangements, it was perfect. Of course once again, Dan got that "look" in his eyes! lol Bless him, it's going to be a handful with 3 women in the house! But he is getting more excited every day! The people of the community blessed us once again with all the gifts they gave for Aubrey and Lainey.

This was a cute basket that the girls received, it is a house divided basket all the way around, and was filled with lots of goodies!

Dan and I are truly blessed with all the family and friends that we have, and the love they have shown to us from day one. We are very thankful to have all of you in our lives and in Aubrey and Lainey's lives as well! We love you all! Thank you for all that you do!

Still here

We are still here, just trying to finish up the nursery. As of right now, my camera is in the shop being fixed so I cant put any pictures up, sorry. I hope to have it back next week so I'll try to get some posted then. We finally found a baby chandelier for the nursery and I'm excited to have it put up.

Not too much more going on. I do go for the DREADED sugar test on Thursday, say a prayer I pass the first time PLEASE! lol The girls are kicking like crazy as well, however everytime I try to let Dan feel it, they stop! I aggrivate him and say they are just like him, never listen to me when I want them to! lol It's crazy to think that in about 11 more weeks the girls will be here. The Dr said that normally with twins they try to get you to go between weeks 35-37, well we are pushing for week 37, which will be the last week of May. So have about 10 more weeks to go! Hard to believe. Dan and I both are excited, but nervous as well. However, we have wonderful family and friends that will be here to help us. Please keep all of us in your prayers, and that we do go 10 more weeks for sure and not any earlier!

Picture Frames

So this time last year, Dan and I received a wedding gift , a gift certificate actually, courtesy of Brady and Kim Lawson's family for the very fun place "All Fired Up". Well, guess what, I used it to have picture frames made for the nursery. And I LOVE THEM!!!!! I just took a piece of the fabric, and there was young lady there gracious enough to design something for me. I can't wait to put baby pictures of the girls in them.

I was soooo excited to FINALLY get these wood walls painted!

And it is AMAZING what some primer and paint can do to a room!

The room looks totally different, but I love it!!!

Of course, still have to get new outlet covers, put blinds up, get new lights, get the bedding put in beds, but MOST IMPORTANT.....get the babies here, but I am not rushing them, I am ok waiting on them another 3 months!

Nursery Decor

The walls are almost painted, and once they are I'll post some pictures. I have picked out the furniture and the fabric. I am very pleased with my choice. Dan just says whatever makes me happy! lol We are going Friday to purchase the baby furniture, and then get to put the cribs together on Saturday, that will be an adventure! lol

This is the fabric for the bumper pads, the green is a little lighter in person, and there is a small hint of pastel purple too, of course a picture never does things the correct justice, but you get the idea!

This is the shag rug we are going to use, except ours is a round rug and it is VERY VERY SOFT!!!! Dan says he could sleep on it!

That is all for now, I am on the look out for possibly a baby chandelier, and have found a few, just have to narrow them down. I feel like I am planning a big event all over again with all this decorating, but I am loving EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!!!

Dr's Visit

We went back to the Dr on Tuesday. Heartbeats sounded good, I go back in 2 weeks for another ultrasound and check up. I go back in March for the dreaded sugar test! lol so any advice on how to pass it the first time around, I will gladly accept!!! My only complaint was HEARTBURN!!! It has been bad, especially the past few days, so if the saying is true, Aubrey and Lainey are going to have the most hair of any newborn!! Please continue to keep us all in your prayers!

The nursery projects are starting this week, the biggest one....PAINTING!!! I'll post pictures of the process!
